When Intuit wanted to launch their service in India, they needed a specialist type of video.

Where websites are not always accessible, getting their marketing message to small business owners in India meant using a different communication mechanism.

Working with MWS Media, together we created an animation sequence that could be delivered by mobile phone in low-bandwidth areas.

Going Mobile

The format of animation was chosen, due to its low band-width requirement, and storyboards were created that built up awareness of the product, along with screenshots and instructions on how to get started.

After 3 weeks of production and working with the client to perfect the messaging, we delivered multiple 45 second animations and created a bespoke application to facilitate the download, making the user experience as easy as possible.

The success of the videos led to their rollout across the entire sales team.

Kaye at the Creative Catering Company wanted a homepage marketing video that would drive sales, shorten lead times and help build their brand.

Homepage videos have to work, because they are usually the first thing people view when they land on your site.

The Creative Catering Company needed a video which presented a clear picture of their capabilities, whilst capturing the customer led, approachable feel of their family run company and providing a measurable increase in web enquiries.

Focus

MWS Media used cine lenses to create a shallow depth of field which would show off the beautiful food to its maximum potential. We made Kaye, the business owner, the “face” of Creative Catering, and used a to-camera style in order to provide maximum direct engagement with the audience.

The video saves her time as it effectively gives much of the information that was once imparted during a first client meeting, with the added bonus that clients now feel they know Kaye before they even meet her. The customer testimonials provide fantastic evidence of Creative Catering exceeding customer expectations.

One of the biggest software brands in the world wanted a launch video to promote their flagship online product at the go-to-market stage.

Intuit UK were ready to launch their flagship Quickbooks title in an online offering, and they needed a video that appealed to their target demographic.

It was essential that the script captured the key reasons to believe in the product, and balanced features and benefits with a brand relevant marketing narrative.

Green-screen and the art of the possible

MWS Media worked closely with the messaging priorities for the go-to-market, and developed a script and storyboards which pulled out the key “anywhere, anytime” messaging. This was visually underpinned by the use of chroma keying in order to incorporate multiple locations into one quick, flowing narrative. Casting was also crucial and multiple audition sessions were held to find the perfect actor to embody the prospective customer demographic.

Key to the success of the launch video was that the features and benefits of the product were demonstrated with a sense of purpose and freedom, emphasising the fact that Quickbooks is a time-saving product, allowing the user to concentrate on the real work of running their business. In short, the video had “personality”, breaking down barriers between corporation and customer which help to reinforce Intuit's standing as the “small business champion”.

One of our specialist partners approached us when Aspire Global Network needed to produce multi-purpose webpage and social media videos.

A major international recruitment network, Aspire incorporates seven distinct brands under one agency.

They wanted to demonstrate not only their breadth of specialities, but to show off their fantastic new offices, portray their global reach, and do so in a video that appealed to potential clients, candidates and to potential Aspire employees alike.

Mutual attraction

Aspire wanted to have a video for each brand, whilst also placing it in the overall context of the group. The challenge was to expound each of these messages without diluting any one of them.

MWS Media decided that the best way to give each brand its own identity whilst building the overall Aspire brand equity, was create short sections focused on each brand and its specialist area, and sit these within a longer common section looking at the Aspire Global Network as a whole.

The style was to shoot some sections at higher frame rates to provide a stylish slo-mo, and provide some added dynamism to the visuals by using slide rails to allow for tracking-effects. This underpinned the narrative and provided a stylish visual motif which allowed us to use voice-overs to put across the brand specific messaging, resulting in a homogeneous video collection, with each brand presented with its own video, promoting its expertise whilst placing it within the framework of the Aspire Global Network.
